Reconciliation Through Art coincides with the Nation Day for Truth and Reconciliation and will feature art, storytelling, and performances from local and Indigenous artists. Food will be available from the Frybread Queen.
This event on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum.
The day starts with a River Walk and Offering to the Water led by Tony Belcourt at 8:00 am.
Exhibits and education events take place throughout the day from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. Starting at 8:15 pm, you will be treated to a musical “jam session.”

A special screening of WaaPaKe (“Tomorrow”) will be held on today, September 29 at 2:00 pm at Almonte United Church. Dr. Jules Arita Koostachin’s deeply personal documentary unravels the tangled threads of silence suffered by residential school Survivors through truth, freedom and power. Admission is free ($10 donation suggested).
